Busy Busy Busy!

The past three days has been so crazy and just filled with all kinds of photography immersion! Thursday I joined the Maine Women Wedding Photographers luncheon that was held at the Danforth Inn located in Portland, ME. It was great to meet some new faces and catch up with old friends and talk shop and gab a little, too!A thank you to Emilie for putting it all together!

The next day I was off to Falmouth for a workshop hosted by MPPA (Maine Professional Photographers Association); the “Shootout with Beckstead”  was graciously hosted by my good friend Russell Caron at his studio in Falmouth. There was a large number of participants (30!) and of course, it rained. After the 2 hour presentation in the morning by David Beckstead, we all headed up to Brunswick to the Mill and had a great lunch (a few of us veered off and went to the Thai place! YUM!) and then met up for a long afternoon shooting inside this fantastic industrial/commercial building using all natural light. (Images to follow later today hopefully.) It was a great time and we had a chance to capture some fantastic images!

Finally, last night I headed out with my friend Shannon Post to help Emilie Inc celebrate her second year in her new studio! There were cupcakes from Two Fat Cats Bakery – a “make your own” type of cupcake stand with a variety of icing flavors, toppings and your choice of chocolate or vanilla cake. It was great to see more friends and make even more!

This week included a wealth of new knowledge, many new faces and names that I hope to remember (and I mean “A LOT”), and a great feeling that this wedding season is going to be the best one ever!
