Here is a great article on the tradition of “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…” that includes what each signifies and some nifty suggestions as to what you can use to help personalize your wedding day.
Happy Fourth!
Amazingly, despite the heat and humidity that we are experiencing here in Maine today (and for several days to come) I have the energy to move! I’m off to a traditional 4th of July BBQ at the usual friends’ house for the afternoon and then I hope to experience some stellar fireworks later this evening! I had the greatest pleasure to shoot Lindsay & Nick’s engagement session this past weekend! The weather was typical Maine – it started off foggy and cool muggy air and by late morning the sun was shining high and bright without a cloud in the sky! We had a

So, you wonder: How can a photographer charge what they charge for an 8×10 when I can get the “same thing” at Walgreens for $2.99? Well, here is a great article breaking it all down for you – differences between commercial portrait sessions that you get at chain stores and a professional and what it all pays for! http://www.professionalchildphotographer.com/information/?page_id=16
Shootout with Beckstead
About a month ago I attended a wedding workshop in Falmouth/Brunswick, ME to learn the ways of David Beckstead. There was a GREAT turnout and we enjoyed the hard work of some fantastic models for our shootout! Here are some images from the shootout that I wanted to share (don’t forget to click “read on” to see more images!)

Some beautiful blues…
I recently had the opportunity to snap some great images of this little man for his First Birthday! I had a lot of fun catching some of his fantastic expressions and enjoying his contagious personality. I am truly looking forward to meeting up with him again this fall…
